They changed the cronut. It’s more of a donut now instead of a glazed croissant. I was wondering why they had no donuts left and just cronuts witch is the opposite of the old norm. So I was excited to get cronuts until I tried one.

Says it opens a 6 am. Went at 6:45 door was locked. Waited 5 mins a lady walked in and locked the door behind her. Needed a ton of donuts for office. Very disappointing.

Best donuts ever not to mention service - had fresh donuts delivered personally by owner while we were on vacation in Cuba???? But seriously...just read a review written by unsatisfied customer "kayla judd" who seems to write ONLY negative reviews on different places..one of those people who not only go from place to place to receive free product/service but to give those businesses an undeserving bad name in the process... shame on her. I will give this place a 6 star but giving only 5 because they don't deliver in Europe????

Great selection of freshly baked donuts as long as you get their early. The later in the day you arrive, the less variety they have. Prices re decent as you can purchase 6 donuts for $7 inc taxes. Some of the staff are very friendly while some others are cold and act like you are bothering them.

Homestead has fantastic, old-style donuts. They are huge, very soft, and baked fresh, and you can tell by the taste. I like seeing all the choices they have on display, and each donut I have tried has been great. Being nearly the same price as a Tim Horton's donut, the value for your dollar here goes very far. Homestead has donuts the way they should be, which is great coming from a local, Niagara business.

Religiously out of donuts before a certain time. If you know you're going to busy make more donuts. Also wouldn't mind an option that isn't stuffed with white cream other than the Boston cream. Otherwise the donuts are obviously excellent. Great customer service as well. Just wouldn't mind something new once in a while that wasn't just the same donut with sprinkles.

This is a great little addition to Thorold. I was in once on a Saturday late-afternoon and the selection was QUITE picked over - but this is a good sign. We still got a big bag of donut holes (aka Timbits) for much cheaper than Tim Horton's pricing and WAY better product - they were delicious. We went back a few days later, on a weekday mid-morning and there was lots of selection. Got a box of 12 donuts and enjoyed all of them. The cream filled ones seem to use a cream that isn't 100% dairy - a bit oily - that would be my only gripe. The coffee and hot chocolate were okay. Unfortunately, the space is mostly a to-go spot - not a lot of cafe area and not really set up to sit and enjoy on site. However, we will definitely go back when we want to pick up donuts for the house or to bring somewhere. Affordable and great quality.

They were our supplier for donuts when we had our coffee and donut shop, and I still enjoy the product they make. Just make sure you get there early in the morning to get a better select.

We are relatively new to Thorold and quickly discovered this place. The donuts are great and a fabulous value, and it reminds me of way back before Tims took over the world and we used to hang out at our local donut shop as kids. Since we started going regularly in September we noticed the staff didn’t always wear their masks, but would at least put then on when we entered or when gently reminded by us. Finally, a couple of months ago they put a sign on the door requiring customers to wear their mask and the staff has been much better with theirs as well. But today, as I was about to enter for our weekend treat, two men walked in ahead of me without masks. I pointed to the sign and told them they should have their masks on. The one man replied, “I can do what I want, I own the place.” They then proceeded to walk unmasked through the store that had at least one customer in there already, right past all the open display cases of donuts. This saddens me, as we loved this place, and I know this would not be a big issue for some people, but for us, this is a deal breaker. In these times, wearing a mask is such a small inconvenience, that it should be almost automatic. We all forget at times, and that’s certainly understandable, but for a customer to be treated so dismissively by the owner is completely unforgivable. I realize our weekly purchase isn’t going to cripple this business, but I do hope that this can serve as a warning to those for whom this matters, or ideally, this owner realizes his mistake and corrects his behaviour. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to find out.

If I could give him zero I would. I am in disbelief by the way I was treated today by the owner of Homestead donuts. I received the wrong product last week it made me sick because I do have a sensitivity to it I tried calling the owner did not receive a call back within the area today so I decided to stop in because I didn’t want to get the product that I originally purchased. The owner pretty much told me I was lying and threw $10 at me to get me to leave. I’m kind of laughing because I can’t believe that just happened

According to the girl who answers the phones "if no one else complained then i dont know what to tell you" , apparently they don't take single complaints seriously unless they get multiple about the same thing ? Extremely rude. Will never buy anything from here ever again., Get a better customer service girl because the one i delt with was very unwelcoming and unprofessional.

The staff is so friendly and the space clean! Would love to see a place to sit and enjoy their products. I absolutely love the lemon cream and my kids love the long john. I have always gone in the morning and have always had lots to choose from however yesterday there wasn't much of a selection even at 1030 in the morning which i was kind of surprised, with being valentine's day and all. We love their donuts and will continue to buy from there as long as they don't change a thing in the way of ingrdients or ways they prepare and cook the donuts.

The Owner is Wonderful! As are all of the other staff. My kids fell in love with the donuts...when school was open it was our morning routine to grab a fresh, made with Love donut from there..now I’ve been just heading over twice a week! They are one of best donut shops in the Niagara Region; hands down! So many options, never disappointed! Definitely give them a try you will fall in love just the same way we did! 5 out of 5 in every way..from customer service, down to freshness, and variety! Love them all! ????
