Verulam Park, on the north shore of Sturgeon Lake, is located approximately half way between Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls, in the Kawartha Lakes. There is a substantial concrete dock to which rented houseboats overnight, during the boating season, and from which locals fish. The sandy beach is ideal for swimming. This parcel of land, perhaps a 2 or 3 acres, was donated to the township by Douglas MacAlpine, a prominent person in the regine a couple of generations ago. This area is called VERULAM PARK
