Great Safeway. I remember my mom pushing me along in a trolley and smoking a cigarette in here when it was still attached to the mall, back when I lived in that stinkhole. It would be cool if you brought back smoking in your fine grocery store, especially in the produce section, for I find the tobacco helps freshness.

I stopped by to exchange my US dollars to Canadians. The staff wasn't too friendly and a lot of the prices were the same. It took about 20 minutes to get assistant when all they wanted me to do was buy something in order to get my money exchanged, fair enough, but the cashier's attitude was very rotten even though I was trying to be super nice! No one was at customer service and the person that worked at customer service that day just kept staring at me instead of asking, "how can I help you?" It was awkward!

I have been shopping there for 13 year now and never had a problem until they hire that girl security guard . Everywhere I went she fallowed me so I told the staff and never went back for a year . Now she's gone and everything back to normal .

Fruit and vegetables are often starting to rot. Bakery is best in town. Very expensive compared to RCSS. Gas bar is great, you get cash back for store and if you shop in store you can get coupons to save on gas.

It's my #1 go to supermarket for fresh fruit and vegetables and meat prices are good, just watch for sales in all products and there is good value for your money when watching for the sales. It's very clean in store. But the public bathroom seems to be a challenge sometimes for cleanliness and the venting system is poor in that washroom , that's why I only gave it 4 stars

Had a plug in box exposed on the floor. I tripped over it while being escorted by staff to the bacon. I went back and moved a display after staff said. "oh that is usually covered up". As she kept walking away. Now after she realized what I was doing she came to help. But never should of been left exposed.

2021-07 Update Never in my life has a store clerk had to come and verify that I'm using my own bag at checkout...never happens at Walmart, Save-On, Quality Goods, Thrifty, Superstore...who would want to shoplift a 5¢ bag...it asked me again after the employee verified I was using my own bag...in the end I had to wait ten minutes in a human cashier line to buy my three items. Really...you have to have a staff person verify I have my own bag.

S'alright, I guess. Pretty much your cookie cutter, corporate rollout type Safeway. People there seem nice. You're not going to this Safeway because they have something other Safeways don't have, it's the same store as the one in Calgary or Winnipeg. Their Starbucks ran out of dark roast, so I forced my mother to drink an Americano without telling her.

A great mall with 2 main exits and entrys with a big enough parking lot. Vegetables and fruits are way fresher than any other malls, with also dairy products accompanying the freshness. Providing a lot many varieties in their home brand be it juices or cheese. There also are many discount offers and are really good and worth the price.

Bought some fruit trays for a funeral and it was a very easy no fuss experience that resulted in wonderful fresh fruit trays made right before I came to pick them up ! We really enjoyed the fresh fruit and the variety. It was professional an do a great service for me. Thank you!

Store was clean and well stocked. People seemed to be better at following the floor arrows than other times when I was there which makes it seem easier to get around. To limit contact they did get rid of the separators on the conveyor belts which is rather inconvenient since you either have to wait until the others persons stuff is all rung in or stand there and watch to make sure the cashier also notices the end of the line. I had gotten something form the deli since I hadnt had supper yet and it would be around 9 by the time I got home and I grabbed a sandwich and potato dill pickle salad. The sandwich was fine but I wouldnt recommend to potato dill pickle salad. The potatoes were still crunchy which is something I dont personally like but the idea was a good one

Selection is typically good, but the front end service sucks. Cashiers aren't friendly and have no desire to help. Customer service is non existant. Stood there one more than one occasion and was totally ignored. Must be a union store otherwise I'd be firing more than one. Where's management and why do they allow this to continue??!!

Have shopped at Safeway for 40 years. Air miles haveen a big incentive, however since Sobeys came in air miles offers have dropped significantly. Most of my business is spent at another major competitor in Cranbrook that offers consistent incentives... not just "once in a blue moon" as Safeway does.
