I just went to this store today and was told to put a mask on. I explained I was exempt and they told me to leave unless I wore a mask. Their staff are completely unaware this is a major human rights violation and I will be reporting this to the Ontario human right tribunal tomorrow. I may try calling a manager first and report them if I’m not satisfied. However from reading the reviews it appears this is an ongoing problem and something must be done to educate these people. Anyone reading this with a disability, and a lawyer go to this store; you may get money for being treated like this. I certainly feel like I should get compensation and will be happy when they are forced to let me in without a mask. I realize it’s an isolated area but there’s internet, there’s just no excuse for ignorance and violating my rights or anyone else’s.

Actually no star for this store at this location ( deep river Ontario Canadian tire ) Our car stock there and they didn't do anything to help at all ! They didn't even lend stuff we needed to fix the car ! They were supposed to be open by 5 pm on Saturday but they said they booked for the whole day and they can't help us and our case was emergency ! I don't like the store specially the garage ! As a human being they should be there to help not just ignore us and tell us don't make a mess stuff like that ! The customer service is below the zero there ! No star for Canadian tire at this location ! Watch out guys don't expect any help from this special store !

We do sometimes find it hard to get through the aisles when there is a lot of stuff, but it’s a small price to pay when we know that they will have what we are looking for. I asked an employee where the Garden Centre is located. I was directed to go to customer service to the front of the store. I do not know why the employee could not communicate to use the exit that was behind him. Employees should be able to assist customers in the correct direction without directing them to go to customer service for direction. On a positive note, the store is well stocked and clean. Very poor customer service. Went to get propane refill, didn't know their procedure and was talked to very rudely because I didn't do it right. Went again another day (I know, didn't learn the first time). The procedure has you ring a bell ONCE ONLY per instructions. Still was waiting 15 minutes (no staff showed up) and then decided not giving anymore of my time or money to this business.

Went here to get some cat litter. Litter was marked at the wrong price. When I go to the counter to pay for it the girl was very rude and looked displeased that I wanted the right price. After 45 minutes of confusion the manager then came out and said the price it is advertised as is what we will pay for it. Not sure why it took 45 minutes to come to the conclusion.

When I arrived to the store today there were 2 individuals standing at the entrance waiting to go in and another man approaching the entrance going in across from me, a member of the Canadian Tire staff (who might have been the owner of the store as he was not wearing the Canadian Tire uniform) was at the entrance guiding the line and letting people in as space became available due to capacity limits for retail stores in Ontario. The staff member told the man across from me that the two individuals waiting by the entrance were waiting to enter Marks Work Warehouse so if you were going into Canadian tire you were good to go in. I was behind the staff member so I’m not sure if he knew I heard him give the go ahead to enter the store if you weren’t going into Mark’s Work Warehouse. The staff member yelled at me as I walked in the entrance and proceeded to tell me I was inconsiderate among other things in front of the two individuals waiting in the Mark’s line, after I apologized and let him know that I was entering Canadian Tire not Marks Work Warehouse he called me inconsiderate for what I had did for the second time. From there I turned around and left the store. I wish I had a chance to say I was sorry to the two individuals waiting in the Marks line before I had left because I do not mind waiting in a line during these pressing times with capacity limits in stores, I am completely understanding of that, but I ended up going to my vehicle and crying in the parking lot for 15 minutes before I could continue home. I left feeling completely belittled. Perhaps I could have clarified with the staff member that it was okay that I went in as well, but I’m super frustrated with the customer service, I believe the situation could have been handled in a better and more respectful way. If I could give -10 stars I would.

Stopped in on June 27/18 to check their Mark's clothing section. Good to see that clothing department integrated into the traditional Canadian Tire store. Was looking for "no-fly-zone" pants, but supply was limited to 1 pair of pants and several shirts. Sadly, did not have what I wanted, but the supply will increase for this new product. Good to see the expansion of the items for sale.

I went to Sturgeon Falls Canadian Tire store on Oct.12th @14:20 to shop. Within a minute a manager came to me and pointed to his well worn cloth mask and asked me where is mine. I told him that "I am mask exempt," to which he replied: "No, you're not, not in this store." So I left the store and asked my spouse to call the store to complain about this. She was told that the manager made exemption not applicable in this store. I'm still considering my next step.

Today at 1740 I had to go to Canadian Tire to pick up new paint. I had just made it in time because they were closing at 1800. Fortunately I went to the Canadian Tire in Fort Frances, rather than to Menards since i received wonderful, prompt service and they did not even mind that i came late (lots of stores employees would give remarks showing up that close to closing time). I was helped by a very knowledgeable employee (I believe his name was Jordan, he used to work in automotive I believe) He helped me find the perfect paint and it was even on sale! 10/10 would go back again.

While travelling to the east coast, "engine service soon" light came on and this was the closest service station available. Although they had closed one tech was cleaning up and stopped what he was doing to help. (I asked if he could read the code). Not only did he tell me the OBDII codes and cleared them, he didn't charge us. Pleasantly surprised.

Honestly pretty mad. I had an appointment for 9am to put my winter tires on and an oil change. An hour later they call and say my tires don’t fit my winter rims.. that’s my fault obviously so I ask if they can give me the tires that fit and I’ll pay the difference (since I bought new tires a week prior from them) instead they put new rims and told me I needed a new battery and put it in. Charged me $760. $100 being just to put the battery in. Oh and they kept my car for 5 hours and never even called to tell me my car was done.

Horrible service, they dont follow their own corporate policy of enforcing the Scanning Code of Practice (they don't even understand how it's supposed to work) the only reason i gave two stars is due to their fantastic service in their Auto department. Will and the team are awesome.

The incompetents of the people working in the automotive department is nothing short of negligence...blantently saying that the brakes (done by Kingston bath rd c.t) had nothing wrong with them, when myself and my partner have experienced a VERY obvious decline in performance since having them replaced. Do not use Canadian tire for your mechanical needs, as you might crash and die, due to shotty work. Zero stars

Way too narrow rows, can barely fit one shopping cart. Staff were not useful at all when trying to find an item they’re site said they had plenty of. Just go to the next Canadian tire honestly you’ll save more time driving a bit further.

I have been to several canadian tires dozens of times in my life and have never encountered someone as hostile as the manager Sarah at this location. She was very aggressive even when I tried to be extremely kind and give her excuses she was snappy, rude, shut me up and only escalated the situation as opposed to de-escalate. I truly pray for her and think this location should strongly consider some additional training or a new manager. It pains me to write this but something should be done. All of the other staff were kind and we had very pleasant interactions.

I stopped on a long drive to get fuel because i was almost empty. Did a pre authorized transaction at the pump and then tried to pump fuel. Absolutely nothing came out so I stopped trying to pump and saw the pump slowly increment as if it were giving me fuel. I went inside and told the millennial attendant what happened to which she responded ‘Ive never seen that before... thats a transaction you did outside. What do you want me to do about it’ She didn’t find it believable my receipt for 0.17 cents was maybe the result of a problem. I guess she thought maybe i was trying to scam .17 cents of fuel.... she asked what i wanted her to do so i asked if she could leave a note for someone who cares about the business like a manager. She said no, because ‘she has never seen that before ‘ I asked if she could explain why its not pumping any fuel at all. She said no, try it again - it will work. And repeats that she ‘has never seen that before’ I ask if she wants to come outside and see it right now. She says no. Im at the closest pump to the front door. So like a fool i go do the same thing. No fuel, and after i stop pumping it keeps charging me a few cents every few seconds. This time i video tape it. I want to walk back in and show her at first but it occurs to me, she doesn’t care in any way. She refused to walk ten feet to see it, or even look at the camera. So i leave and make a dangerous drive on fumes to a real gas station. Also i called my bank and reversed the charges, wrote this review and will share this story on facebook.

This store has everything you would expect at a Canadian Tire! They’re decor and seasonal items are always top quality. Don’t normally shop at Marks Work warehouse but we got some good quality compression pants. The staff at the counter was super friendly and helpful answer questions about the new triangle rewards and how I can put my paper Canadian Tire money onto it. Great store, well stocked!

Absolutely horrendous store. These people are completely inept in every possible way and it's so blatantly obvious that it's laughable. I just went in to buy 5/16 inch vacuum hose to fix my van as I am a mechanic and know how to do it myself. I literally waited for 20 minutes at the part's desk and nobody was there. That being said, the garage service manager could see us waiting at the vacant part's desk and finally came over after 20 minutes to page "Trish". We waited another 10 minutes and there was still no sign of Trish or anyone to help us. The garage service manager had 6 people waiting in his line and his phone was ringing constantly... I don't blame him for not being able to serve me as his department was understaffed, as well. Finally after waiting 30 minutes my wife went to look for someone and there wasn't a single staff member working the floor in any department, so she got a cashier to page "Trish" again. After waiting another 10 minutes this older gentleman comes in from outside, stinking like cigarettes and barks at us "I'll be with you shortly". He removes his winter jacket and goes into the back for a few minutes before returning to serve us. I ask him for 10 feet of 5/16" rubber hose and it takes him 10 minutes to find it, a knife, and a tape measure. Finally, after 50 minutes, I had the rubber hose in my hand and proceeded to the cash. However, things didn't get better. The cashier couldn't read the writing of the guy who got my hose. His writing was all jittery because he just came in from smoking. I waited another 10 minutes as my cashier went to the parts desk to have him rewrite the product code on the masking tape he wrapped my hose in. Well, he wrote the number down wrong and the cashier still couldn't enter it into her computer... so she paged Trish. Yet again. After waiting another 5 minutes Trish finally arrived and located a "working product code". All is well, right? WRONG! She found a working code all right... a code for rubber hose that was 3 times more expensive that the size I bought. I got ripped off for an extra $16 after spending more than an hour in this store. Waiting. As if I was invisible to the few staff who were actually there. INSANE experience and it isn't the first time, either. Isn't Canadian Tire primarily and originally an AUTO PARTS store!? Why did it take more than an hour to be overcharged for a part that could heave been cut off the bulk roll within 2 minutes!? This is the WORST Canadian Tire I have ever come across. Actually, it's the worst customer service I've ever experienced anywhere. I don't normally write reviews but I had to this time. PLEASE take your business to the Canadian Tire store in Kingston on Gardiner road, it's well worth the extra drive and will almost certainly save you time and money! Past bad experiences here: 1) I had an emissions test appointment booked on a Sunday and found out once I arrived that their garage is closed on Sundays. 2) I needed 20 pails of driveway sealer from the back room because they'd already removed their seasonal merchandise from the store floor for the Winter. It took me 40 minutes of circling the store to find someone who worked there and would get the sealer from the back for me. 3) I had 4 pails of sealer left over after the driveway was finished and had to return it. I walked in with a cart full of pails and handed my receipt to the clerk at the return desk. It took her over 20 minutes to figure out was going on and then she started blaming me for not being clear enough with what I needed. She insisted I wanted to pay for the sealer and had not a clue what was going on. Finally she says "I thought you wanted to pay for these" to which I replied "How often do people pay for items by handing you receipts at the return desk?" I have given this store chance after chance and they keep costing me time & money on every single visit. I'm done giving them chances and you shouldn't bother giving them any.
