Checked out The Table at Codfathers tonight as they hosted a fundraiser lobster boil event for "Help Julia walk again". The food was fantastic and the staff were awesome. Staff and ownership clearly have a passion for their craft and care greatly about their community. We will definitely be back again! Great job!

This is a gluten-friendly dream! With the exception of their bread, the entire kitchen is gluten-friendly! The cod was beautiful, nice and light fish, with an amazing batter. They are known for their fish and chips for a reason! Try the smoked tomato sauce with your fish, it was extremely decadent.

In general this is our go to place for fish/seafood in Kelowna. Sadly, I went today and asked about the best type of fish for tacos. Preferring to buy halibut. Young lady advised b/c of price would suggest “as the little signs” buy the cod and rock fish - good for fish tacos. When I went to prepare fish was stunned with the amount of bones in the fish. Not sure if this is normal, told the young lady I’d never had rock fish so would try it. Big disappointment. Educate the customer or add to signs, must remove bones first before eating.

So stoked to have a place like this in our landlocked town. Fresh (and frozen) sustainable seafood, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great little restaurant too. Today I bought beautiful lump crabmeat and grey cod for crab cakes. And for while I make those crab cakes I got some in house smoked oysters and some hot wings style bream to snack on. ????????

Called to ask a simple question about their restaurant. A female asked for me to hold. Sounded like she just put the phone down on the counter as I could hear everything. 7 minutes later I could hear the phone get picked up and hung up. I called back... Got the same thing happen again, but this time it took 10 minutes to get hung up on. Apparently, the busyness of the store depends on weather they can multitask.

The Halibut and chips were excellent! Perfect batter, light and crisp, not too crunchy. The Halibut was so soft and juicy. Recommend ordering at least two pieces, or you'll regret it (like me). Fish taco was good, but the taco shell could have been toasted to make it tastier. Steamer was lovely, the multigrain toast was a nice touch.

Thoroughly enjoyable dinner here! Selection of fish options is great, the batter yummy, and the tartar delicious. I had halibut, which was expensive- but halibut is very expensive- so that’s to be expected! The fish is the real highlight here. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is I believe the sides could be better. Fries were pretty good, cole slaw was bland and a very small amount, and goat cheese side salad was very average. But still happy to have a good fish and chip!

I used to go to codfathers seafood regularly until one day I bought a cooked crab and brought it home to clean. It did not smell fresh, tasted off with the piece I tried and the crab meat was yellow which I had not seen with previous crabs I had bought there. I took it back right away and the fellow said there was nothing wrong with it and was quite rude. That was the last time I went in codfathers with the very poor customer service I received.

Update July 2020 Was very disappointed. New owners. Are going gluten free. Batter was so hard to bite through. Mom had to have her halibut pan fried as she just had dental surgery. Halibut was very dry. Fries were cooked too much and tasted like sawdust. Didnt like the tartar sauce or coleslaw. The homemade lemonade was too sweet for me. All in all very disappointed. Shame. Where did the old owner go?? Best fish around. Homemade fries, crisps, salad, coleslaw. Yummy.

Gluten free fish and chips? Better than regular fish and chips?? Yes please! We got a large to go order - classic clam chowder, tempura avocado, KFC cauliflower (only dish not gluten free), 'dirty' fries????????????, wild Pacific cod and chips, 2 crispy fried cod taco platters, 2 chili-garlic shrimp taco platters, and a Dilly 'seasar' salad. Set it up buffet style at home and dug in! The only thing I didn't try was the cauliflower, however the 3 other diners (none of them are gluten free) pronounced it spicy and delicious ????. Everything that was fried (avocado tempura, fish, chips) was crispy, not greasy seasoned perfectly and really juicy. The tacos were better than any other fish tacos I've had from a restaurant (outside of Mexico). The 'Dirty' fries...garlic dill mayo, bacon and parmesan...they should be illegal because they are seriously addictive! The Dilly Seasar salad was reminiscent of a BLT sandwich in all the best ways???? All the sauces were excellent - the coleslaw was superb! Not the usual sickly sweet, overdressed cabbage that passes for restaurant coleslaw...real homemade taste with the veg and dressing in perfect proportions. My family couldn't believe how good it all was - they're used to me getting gluten free stuff that is never quite up to par with non gluten free. These guys are using quality ingredients and preparing everything from scratch with love and pride in what they do. 5/5 highly recommend! Cannot wait to eat their food again ????

Great experience once again (as ever, really, like every week), they clearly state what is fresh, what is frozen. By our choice we go with the fresh, and always have great experiences. But all the fish looks good. Tracey and the other young lady are always very kind and helpful. Try the smoked salmon, try the candied salmon, try the crab cakes, too. And often, they get the most interesting fish, that you just don't see around. Sorry if you think it is expensive, but good fish costs, and having lived abroad, it is not only very fair price, but excellent quality. One of the reasons I love living in Kelowna.

Perfect little lunch date spot. A little bit pricey but you get what you pay for, some delicious fresh Halibut (what we got) and considering the market price of halibut it's reasonable. And to boot it's all Gluten free, which is a very nice treat since my girlfriend is a celiac. The gentleman who served us was very friendly, and offered my beer to me free since it was very heady (the keg was foamy) definitely will return if i visit Kelowna again

During Covid 19 we decided to place a takeout order trying to support our local resturants splurging we got family 8 piece halibut dinner so looking forward to eating fresh halibut to my surprize the halibut was very small pieces 1inch diameter, 4 inches long and very dry sad to say I will not be ordering any more food for them .

I purchased 2 dozens of oysters and 6 of them went bad and the smell was offensive and sulfurous, the rest of oysters were not impressed neither. The smell of rotten oysters made us sick and we threw out the trays. Rule no.1 Staff should check and smell once they shucked an oyster, but they didn’t. A fresh oyster should smell like ocean breeze! This fishmarket used to be my favourite place years ago but it’s been disappointing lately.

To be honest. It has so much more potential. I was super grossed out by the lack of cleanliness of the place. And not to mention it was crowded AF With things and utensils etc. It seemed wild to me that how cute it actually could have been was overwhelmed with 'stuff'. Our fish was preeettty hard but the fries were awesome. I would recommend putting some love into your restaurant mang, it has serious potential. I love the esthetic you're going for behind all the clutter. ❤️????
