I walked in and it seemed like the employees didn't want to help. Nobody asked if I needed anything, and I did. So I left and went to another supply store. The inside however did have lots of products and it seemed very well-stocked with fish.

Nice little hold I. The Wall aquarium store with lots of fish and a really nice selection of shrimp. All the tanks look well looked after and I didn't see any dead fish. Store is a little grungy but I like to think of it as a no frills kind of place

One of the worst service I have ever got, the owner is so rude and negative in all kind of sale . We Kept our fishes when we were away on vacation , these fishes were brought from him . This person sold them without our permission. When we were there to take them back he was laying saying all fishes were dead . That was so pathetic. I still feel if I would have kept them in my home they would have living with us . So disrespectful.

Bit of a mixed bag. I bought this gorgeous little guy from M&J last month. There was pretty good selection in terms of livestock, and prices were great. The store hardware was dusty and dirty, but the tanks themselves were nice and clean. The livestock in the tanks seemed pretty healthy, too. The bettas, however, were in cups, and I spent the first three weeks with this guy in quarantine, treating him for a severe bacterial infection and ich infestation that he came with out of his cup. I'm positive he would have died had treatment been delayed for another day or two. I kept him precisely because I did not want him to die. He's doing well in his planted display tank now and has amazing personality. Tl;dr: absolutely do not skip quarantine with the livestock.

It smelt terrible when I went inside, then I saw that they are keeping the betta fish in a plastic container the size of a shot glass full of dirty water. This is awful and not how the fish should be treated. Would not buy from here

Wonderful store. It feels very casual and comfortable. I bought 5 angelfish on two separate trips and the owner was very friendly and efficient. I like that he didn't rush or pester me, but was attentive. He also fed the fish I was looking at which gave me a chance to see their feeding response. The angelfish are doing amazing now, and they look stunning. Definitely my new favorite place to visit!

Dont buy fish from here ! They have disease called ich and because of that all of my fishesh died !! This place does not take good care of their aquariums and fishes!! See pictures of the aquarium at this place!! So sad!! Does not even remove died fishes from the aquarium!! And the owner is so rude !!

Went today for the first time. It's a fairly typical non-chain aquarium shop. A lot of Chinese versions of domestic product, able to save a few bucks if you're not caring about domestic brand names. But...where Bin really takes the cake is the quality of his livebearers and crystal red/black shrimp. Today I purchased seven of the most vibrant female guppy livebearers I've ever seen, for what I considered a great price. Literally half of what a retailer like Big Al's charges. $21. His crystal red and crystal black shrimp are sss/ss quality and are $2 each. I bought five (2 sss, 2 ss, 1 s), included 2 legit sss Mosura, for $10 (one red one black). Overall, a real, legit 4 star. Costs low, non-branded equipment, and has certain fish/shrimp of extremely high quality.

I bought over $100 guppy from there, and those guppies started deading when arrived home. Don't buy any guppy from there even the fish look nice under the aquarium light (I never check the fish as well after I bought it and when i get home those guppies look terrible under bright light. One of the worst buy fish experience I have ever had in Scarborough). Just don't go there to buy any guppies.

The best thing about this place are the prices. All fish and dry goods are the cheapest in the GTA. The fish are generally healthy. I just wish they had a more variety. Labelling needs to be better. The owner is a friendly guy. Nothing is really outstanding but its an alright fish store.

Bought a 17 gallon rimless tank from here. Filled it up the next day and the glass was bowing. I could push against the longer side and see the glass flex. Ticking time bomb, I took it down that day. Waste of 60$.

They posted red crystal shrimp onsale from kijiji. Went there and guess what they have sss red crystals shrimps for only $2 where other pet store sells them for like $9.99~$12.99 each what a steal. The owner also told me he gets other selections coming too for $5 like king Kong shrimps and bluebolt, where other costs like $25 each... Will go back again for more.????

A place for cheaper and fish, they have very good collection but my personal review is go for PetSmart because PetSmart employee guide you properly even when you are beginner because last time i buy 12 guppies from M&J Aquarium the owner not guide me properly how to carry it even didn't mention any precautions for that and at the end all guppies die in 20hr i really hurt me. So if you are beginner please ask owner for proper guidance n carry sample of your water(form fish tank) when you going to buy fish
