This store does not have the "Spririt of Christmas" at least one of the employees anyway. An older, short dark haired gentleman named Mass (sp?). He actually yelled at my kids for playing with the display model christmas toys on the stairs that sing when you push the button - come on man they are display models!!. I couldn't believe it. I went back and complained and they apologized for his behaviour but too late the damage is done. I will not be returning and will be sure to let my whole family and friends know. Quite sad actually.

This place is the best place for the holidays. They have all styles of ornaments and decorations for the holidays and for any kind of celebration. My fiance and I came here and picked up an engagement ornament for our tree after I proposed in Banff, and it will always be one of my favorite ornaments to put up each Christmas.

Always a nice place to shop when you’re in Banff. They have a large year round selection of Christmas ornaments and decor. All ornaments are organized by theme and they have a section devoted to customizable ornaments that you can have names added to onsite. The upper level is mainly dedicated to those mini villages, they have the Halloween themed ones in addition to Christmas. They also have servingware, knickknacks and wall art. Prices are very reasonable.

We are avid Christmas collectors and were very excited to have a keepsake from this shop, but it just didn't happen. Among thousands of ornaments, dozens of collectables, statues, nativity scenes, and stockings we could find nothing that caught our eye. After many years of collecting it takes something truly unique... and their wasn't much that was. Collectables we've seen everywhere, cheap or ubiquitous ornaments... a couple of beautiful things - too expensive and too fragile to ship. We left with a cheap wooden ornament stamped "Banff, Alberta" because we could find nothing more.

The folks at the Spirit of Christmas went above and beyond in customer service for my wife and I and our Christmas surprise. This past summer my wife and I were in Banff and had determined that we were going to surprise our families with Ornaments that said "Grandpa 2017" "Grandma 2017" "Uncle 2017" "Aunt 2017" etc. They were beautiful and we headed home thrilled with the job Kayla had done. In the midst of our travelling home one of the ornaments broke and we were devastated that one family member would be without one Christmas day. We contacted the store to explain our situation and they offered to replace the ornament at no charge. Plus they shipped it to our home for free and even sent a duplicate just in case. And while this may seem like good customer service, this is where it becomes great. They managed to get a hold of Kayla who had finished up for the summer as she goes to University and she came in on her way to the airport and personalized another ball for us complete with the snowflakes. Who does this?!? Spirit of Christmas in Banff is who! They have gained a lifetime customer and we have shared this story with many people. Also, they allowed our Christmas surprise to be realised, and for that we are forever grateful.

When we come to Banff we always make sure we stop in here. I enjoy looking at all the variety of all the makes up Christmas. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I picked up 2 new Christmas ornaments for my tree and a snowflake pin. Kanata the beaver was just for fun. They have Grinch decorations and gifts too. It's a fun place to visit...even my husband enjoyed it.

Literally the worst Christmas store ever. THEY DONT HAVE WRAPPING PAPER. This Christmas store is huge. HUGE. I looked everywhere then asked the front desk and they said they had no WRAPPING PAPER. ?????????????? What's more christmas than wrapping paper???? Oh. My. Gosh. Absolutely the best Christmas store I’ve ever seen. An incredible selection of ornaments, village pieces (and many collections of them), and other decorations. On top of that, the neurotic person in me was incredibly impressed with the layout and organization of the sections. It was very easy to navigate throughout the store, and all of the sections made sense. Combine this with the Christmas music and I, a Christmas enthusiast, was very happy. Use to love coming in here but from time to time I've found multiple people in the store not wearing masks walking by employees and nothing being said. It's a shame there seems to be a lack of concern for safety. I've been coming here for year or so and just seems to be a bit on the decline. I use to get beautiful personalized ornaments and the last time I went I was so disappointed in the results. My last good experience was in May. I hope things can change and get better it was a great store!
