Great family friendly course!

Beautiful greens and course is amazing for the price.

Great deal for public golf

I played this course a few weeks ago. The course conditions were excellent and staff were friendly enough. I was not crazy about the layout of the course. It was also very full (I felt over booked) and pace of play was very slow. People were tripping over each other on the cart paths. Not a marshall to be seen keeping things moving either.

Great instructors for young golfers learning the game

Hidden gem! Well maintained, friendly staff! Reasonably challenging from the back tees! I recommend!

Great course, great price!

Best course in Niagara!

Excellent track. Jeremy keeps the course in great shape. Can't beat the price and still has lots of specials with better deals. Will definitely look to get membership here in the future. Men's league, women's league, even junior leagues available. Thanks for taking such good care of our game Jeremy!

Great time of year to get out!

Joined their players club as we do every year for a while now and played in one of the 5 tournaments they hold for their members. It's a good deal and the course was in pretty good shape considering the rain this area had overnight but all worked out pretty good overall. The course may be a little out of the way for people from the Hamilton area but their price is reasonable and the course itself is better than some of our local courses and is worth the drive.

Nice course, cold beer!

Absolutely brutal shape . Owners are creeps. Sadly it has gone downhill since I last played it 5 years ago. Will definitely not be back until it changes owners and they bring it back to what it use to be.

A great course! Post game service and restrictions in effect but still a great experience. Thank you

Great local course. Good variety of flatter holes and rolling hills. A few ponds but not overwhelming. Always in great condition and for the price you can't go wrong.

Suddenly a huge fan of this place !! Just started playing it this year. The course is fantastic, terrific shape , challenging at times, greens are great. The person that owns it is a beauty and the staff is super friendly oh and they offer a Junior golf camp I hope to get my daughter in!

This course in my opinion is the best in the area. Fairways and greens are always in top condition. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. There are waiting lists not only for memberships but for leagues.

Great golf instructor nice hilly course

Great golf course. Well maintained and staff are amazing.

Course is in great shape. Friendly staff. They just need to flatten #12 green so I can score better????

Great course and well maintained!

Very nice course

If you give them a bad review they will call your older brother and tell him that you are not welcome there any more. Golf cart broke down and was told to walk. The ground crew don't care if you are putting they will keep cutting the grass around you.

Nice course

Greatest value in Niagara. Course is in excellent condition too. Well maintained.

Great family run golf course

Beautiful course!

I can't say that I've golfed much in my time but the course has it all, rolling hills, flowing streams and forested area. As I suck at golf I can't speak to the difficulty of the course, but walking it is beautiful!

Beautiful golf course, quite challenging!

Excellent course and staff

Great practice range. Teaching pro. Course in great shspe. Not easy.

This course is kept in fantastic condition. Very reasonable rates as well. Pro shop has tons to offer and does club repairs also

Very nice course, in need of crowd control...very slow play.

Beautiful sprawling golf course with its very intricate holes. This place isnt too overpriced and offers many good amenities for the average golfer. More experienced people could still use the course but it is more on the lines of an average golfer. This place has great service and a great driving range.

Course was good, went on Sunday afternoon however and food and beer closed by 4pm, without warning.

Great walkable course and wonderful staff can't do enough to help

Good course. Great staff. Awesome price point.

Great course, well maintained

Course was a little wet but all in all in great condition given the amount of rain we've had in April. Awesome course!!

Only 4 stars because of the very squeaky carts

Great golf course excellent condition. Very good food friendly and courteous staff

We played August 31 - the course was extremely busy and we ended up going off on the 10th tee. The pace of play was on the slow side and it took almost 4 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. The course has excellent practise facilities including a driving range, multiple flagged targets, a chipping green where you can even practise bunker shots, and of course a separate putting green. I hadn’t played here in over 20 years - honestly couldn’t remember a single hole. I found the course in so so shape - some bare/brown fairway areas and the greens on the front nine had been aerated but not as yet filled with sand. In fact the greens were hard and fast. Putting was an adventure; firm putts could go 6 feet by the hole and slow pace putts wouldn’t hold the line due to bumpy greens. There are multiple tee blocks for the men that can accommodate all skill levels ranging from 6,572 yards (slope of 128) to 5,189 yards (slope of 119). There are fairway bunkers, tree lined fairways, ponds and creeks to make this a challenging course. We paid the $48 seniors rate for 18 holes including a cart. That is mid-range for what we have been paying in this Covid-19 impacted season. This is fair value, relatively speaking in a year in which demand at golf courses has spiked higher and rates at some courses have increased a lot to capitalize

I have golfed at many different courses in my life but I never have seen a course that was this bad. The grass here is absolutely horrid, not even cut at some playing places. I couldn't even see the top of the hill on one of the holes because there is no mirror to help me see, seems very unsafe to be just hitting blind. I have heard very loud noises like screaming and swearing( F-bombs) many times. Sometimes even with my own children on the course with me. I will not be coming here again and hope that other people will follow.

Great people, fun course good food.

Cart person would be nice

If you give them a bad review they will call your older brother and tell him that you are not welcome there any more. Golf cart broke down and was told to walk. The ground crew don't care if you are putting they will keep cutting the grass around you.

Nice middle of the road golf course, good for families.

Excellent golfing , food and drinks in the clubhouse are top notch

Great course, great people, great prices what more could you all for. Oh, good food of course.

The number listed for Sawmill Golf Course, as listed in the town of Pelham, is actually the phone number for the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club. Go ahead, phone it, you'll see. Strange, but true! The course is good, though. Don't tell Jeremy or George that their rates are amongst the best in the region, they might put them up. Actually, their rates are simply competitive; there's a lot going on in the region, golf course-wise, and you have to keep rates in line. Sawmill is, however, a welcome horticultural delight. Thanks to (I think) George's tender loving care, the gardens are every bit as pleasing as the fairways. It's always thrilling to see a Baltimore Oriole flitting between the hardwoods down along the 12th fairway out the back. Or to see deer prints on one of the greens. (Even though it plays havoc with your putts!) All in all a great course. A definite bargain for any Torontonians who want a little respite from the big gouge GTA prices. A great outing, Niagara; pick up some wine while you're out this way. Enjoy. Michael Scott

Greens and fairways are in great condition despite the dry weather this year, the superintendent had been working hard. Restaurant quality is somewhat lacking due to poor management, though the cook is very good with what he has to work with.

Course was well maintained. Staff was friendly. Booking online was easy and efficient.

Good breakfast and price. Staff are very friendly.

Wow, you have to be 25 to drive the carts. You can be 16 to drive cars and 19 to buy alcohol but you need to be 25 to drive carts here, this is stupid.

Bought my parents green fees for this course and they loved it and are looking to go back.

Great family owned golf course. Awesome staff and well maintained course. Well worth the price and drive to play!

The course is well maintained, easier to play on the front nine and more challenging on the back. Golf carts are available to ride the course. They have added a driving range with flagged greens to aim for and the baskets of balls are accessed by a token automated machine closer to the range. They have an excellent pro shop and restaurant. This is my favoured course in the area.

This course is always well taken care of. The fairways and greens are immaculate. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Take a look into their weekly leagues. You won't be disappointed

Beautiful course, slow play is brutal no Marshall's.

Sprinkler systems going off on the tee block where I'm trying to hit was a bit of a distraction. Nice elevation changes with some challanging holes. The greens were well kept but not very difficult if you are looking for a challenge. The girl working the bar. Was super friendly. Decent golf course.

Great shape. Challenging but playable. Friendly. Restaurant was good for after golf choices.

Went for brunch. It was excellent.

Challenging course with great sight lines. Top notch food with a menu of plenty of choices. And last but not least, friendly staff that make sure your day is fantastic.

One of my favorite courses

This is the worse unkept course I've played in 20 years, nothing had been watered or fertilized this year I think, would not play it again for 10 dollars!!!

Golfed here for years, great course, and they have made some good changes! But I would like to see more!

Fantastic shape, challenging track and we'll appointed facilities

Very friendly, course in good shape also

Great place friendly people good atmosphere course in good shape.

Beautiful course at a fantastic price!!

Pleasant golf course.Good value for your money.Course was in great shape.Greens ran true.Pace of play fast.Staff very helpful.

Great course and great folks

Best value and challenge in the area

Called reserved a tee time. 1 person walking. Arrived. Wouldnt let me tee off unless I was with more then 1 person. Drove 30min to get there and not be allowed access to the course. Pro shop employee didnt seem to care either. Disappointed.

Very nice course, interesting layout with good variety of holes.

Slow play, (5 hour round) no beverage cart and a goofy course design. Stay away, there is so much better in Niagara.

love playing at Sawmill. But it sure was HOT.

Nice course, lots of par 4s and 5s, green fees are very reasonable.

Good value, decent layout. Pace a bit slow on front, golfers - you can't reach a par 5 in 2 when your best drive is 200 yards - hit your second shot for the love of all that is helpful.

One of the best courses in the region. Always well kept with great staff.

Surprisingly closer to everywhere than you would think, yet located in a truly picturesque rural setting like you are at a haven for golf in the middle of nowhere. Pick the right tees for your game, and you'll be in for a challenging round complete with a few blind shots and other elements of strategic golf.

Best golf course in Niagara !

Great course. Better owners. All around amazing place to be all summet

This course is just down the road from me ; and I couldn't be more fortunate it's theBest bang for buck . Looking to get a membership and join one of the men's league. Awesome fairways and well maintained greens

Beautiful course. Staff and food in the restaurant are wonderful!

Always great!

Well my experience here on Father's day was very very upsetting I brought my special needs older brother along with my other brother to play 9 holes and stated my special needs brother came to ride in the cart and enjoy the day with us. I was very upset when the club house staff would not let that happen and was very firm on that he had to pay full pop including the cart fee just to sit on a golf cart for a couple of hours. I am disgusted with this place and this staff member had a hard time holding back how I truly feel but the fact was I just dragged my family an hour away to come play here and didn't want to ruin the occasion. I will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience and will never step foot there again Thanks for ruining a special day

Very well kept and a nice lounge area

We’ll worth the money. Relatively cheap, decent length and fairways aren’t too wide. A couple short doglegs, but they don’t feel quirky. Greens are also nice and fast.

Great public golf course!

Beautiful course. Nice greens!

It was a brutally hot day, and not a drop of drinking water to be found anywhere on the course. Seriously, how hard would it be to put out cold water at a couple of holes, before someone collapses from heat exhaustion??? Other than that, a very enjoyable course.

Course is in excellent shape!

Sawmill is a great place play golf. It always seems to be in good shape and the staff is super friendly. It is also a good test I've golf for your average golfer.

Excellent course with great food and service.

Best deal in town

Brought 7 friends from Rochester area for our annual golf weekend. Have been coming to the Niagara peninsula for years playing the Niagara Parks courses and some of the higher end tracks. Tried Sawmill this year having played there 30 years ago. We were not disappointed. The staff was very accommodating, the course was in great shape and pace of play was fast even on a busy Friday. Just over 4 hours. Oh, almost forgot it is about half the price of the other courses we have been playing.

Still one of the best golf courses in the Niagara Area and still under $50 on the weekend

Been a players club member for a couple years now, the course is always well kept, staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely hope to keep this as my home course for many years to come.

Beautiful course. Well managed and well maintained. A nice day out.

No impressed had not been in 20 yrs. Not going back

Honda Pilot came driving down the fairway out of nowhere. When called the club house they advised they have no Marshall and the driver of the car is the own's kid and there is nothing they can do. Well, will never be back to this dog track. $60 for 18 with cart implies a much better course than what is here. Don't waste your money here.

Great golf course and great price! 60 bucks for 18 and a cart on a Sunday is fantastic. Course is in great shape and greens run fast! If you book a tee time for less than four golfers you will always get paired with a group. Other than that course is great and the best one in the niagara region.

I was very impressed with the quality of your coarse. Your staff where great. I had a great day. I will be back!!

Was a great course, wonderful staff, and the 2 members, Barry and Gary that we played with, were a treat.

The people are awsome, the food is realy good and it is family friendly. The fish fridays are lots of fun and you leave full.

I bought a round for 4 to play here through Smartgolfdeals. I have tried to book a weekday morning tee-off time (a week in advance) so many times now and have been unsuccessful every time. Will not buy again no matter how good it is. Very frustrated

Great way to spend a fall day

Was at the Niagara golf show on the weekend , wanted to inquire about their I golf for kids as well as getting a membership for myself . The owner and his wife were too busy chit chatting to even acknowledge me . Stood there like an idiot for almost 10 minutes. What a waste of time.

Great course. Well maintained

Fantastic practice facilities
