An absolutely pleasant staff and atmosphere to boot. I made an appointment in the morning and they had no problem slotting me in. Making an appointment is better than walking in, as with pretty much every other place. Inside, I found myself greeted and taken to a chair immediately (as I had come in maybe 5 minutes early at most). The lady who did my hair was wonderfully friendly and made sure she understood my desired haircut before she started. Which may seem a no brainer, but when you're me and you weren't sure exactly what you wanted, it was super helpful to have her make some small suggestions. She was very observant with my hair type, the traditional chat-with-your-barber was entertaining and cheerful, and my haircut was quick and lovely. The atmosphere of the place itself is also quite nice! Itwas clean, there was local art (some lovely landscapes!), and I never once felt overwhelmed with noise or people. Quite possibly because I was the noisiest there lol. For those wondering; just because it says 'barber' in the title doesn't mean this place is specifically for men. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a cut. The prices are very reasonable (if I went to the nearby mall, I would have paid more than double!).

The woman there used my head as a chew toy for her pleasure, and when I asked for ''a bit off the top'' she left a bit on the top. I have been subject to bullying from peers and family. This is the worst place to ever get a haircut, I have truly and horribly been gnomed to the fullest extent. I don't even want to rate it one star. The woman with blonde hair looks like a Simpson character is the one cut my hair, avoid her like the plague. shes super hairy

Wow..never had a business tell me they are closed before they are closed. Bad business practise in my opinion. I arrived 25 min before closing and there were 3 or 4 staff there, no customers and I am told they don't take customers 30 min before closing. I am flabbergasted at that attitude. The person seemed more concerned about shutting things down than doing business. The doors remained open with open sign on until official closing time. I was asked. if i wanted to book for tomorrow..hah..i just drove across town to patronize your business...if you want me to come back at a more convenient time, you pay for the hair cut. Obviously amateur business and I will not support businesses that disrespect customers who come to buy services. Take a business course or change management!

Went in for a walk in hair cut this afternoon with my father. I was greeted by a friendly hair dresser and told it would be a moment so I took a seat to wait. The woman who ended up cutting my hair came up to the counter and was obviously annoyed with the four walk in appointments, two of which came in after us. I went to a chair where she asked how I would like my hair cut. I asked for "a three on the sides and just a little off the top". After aggressively shaving the sides of my head to the point where she was scraping my scalp, she grabbed a strip from the middle of my hair and cut off nearly 1.5 inches of the 2.5 I had on top, without asking or confirming anything! So nothing can be done from this point unless I want a stupid, uneven hair cut. She trimmed around my ears with a smaller buzzer and left many long hairs and uneven bangs. She then useduthe fine buzzer to shave mymneck where she was going so fast and pressing so hard it hurt. I could have done it myself and saved the $20, scrapes on my neck, and several weeks of wearing a hat. She obviously rushed the job and couldn't give a s*** how it turned out. Edit: I spoke to Vivian, the owner, who booked me in for an appointment tonight. I totally understand that people have bad days or are affected by outside stressors or time pressures, but as professionals offering a service for money, don't pass that on to the client. The stylist I saw tonight was understanding and professional, as was the previous stylist I had in February at this location. She was able to do some damage control to tie me over until my next appointment.

Haircuts for Women and Men & Children. Lots of stylists available, they try to accommodate walk-in customers, but they are busy, so I recommend making an appointment. The stylists are friendly and up on all the latest styles, but listen to their customers and do their best to give them the style that they want.

The young girl that cut my hair was terrible. I have been there before and did not have that bad a haircut, which is why I still returned , although this girl was so aggressive , as well as intrusive , I question why she's even employed there as a stylist ! The first thing I said was the length is ok, just a trim and thin ., which is the important part to me. She then took it upon herself to ignore that and do as she wished, I left there basically bald. And with a sore scalp from her pushing so hard with the razor ..

Would definitely recommend. Jen fixed up a bad hair cut I had gotten from another salon and gave me the blunt cut I had wanted all along. Personally, I don't like sitting in a chair for an hour and a half to get an inch trimmed off my hair and thankfully it was a 20 minute job. Jen was on time, she even took me early because she could, really great price for a hair cut and exactly what I wanted. Super clean salon with great energy.

I brought my 10yo in to get his hair cut, when we were going to pay I saw that she charged me the price for an adult- and the hair cut took 20 mins and it was half done. I've been taking my family here for years- now I'm never coming back. I don't remember the barber's name- she was an older lady with blonde hair. If you still come to this place anyway: Avoid her like the plague.

A few months ago, I asked a friend for a stylist recommendation and she put me on to Liz at Hair Mates. I LOVE her! She's personable, humourous and she cuts my hair exactly the way I want it to be cut. Thankfully, I have short hair so I get to see Liz every 5-6 weeks!
