Well they really don’t listen to well, especially the cabinet woman I think her name is Linda she was quite rude! She got my order all wrong they refused to fix it! I told her and the contractors that I wanted a dishwasher opening in the cabinets that’s all! She still refuse To do it! Looking to milk lot of money I think she knew we got a grant to fix our home and thought we didn’t deserve it! Because she asked us how does it work? why should she care it was paid off!! She treated us like crap!! We are still paying for it!! Not kewl made us wait long time for the cabinets, oh and forgot a whole section! hard to live with no kitchen when I have a special needs kid who needs attention and kitchen all the time!!

Spend a hundred dollars asked for a bag, they said it was 10 cents told them to keep it. Why did you not offer the bag while the items were being run through the checkout? There is an opportunity for training here, also you spend that kind of money are expected to pay a dime for a bag? How does this help the environment? Plastic bags are not an environmental issue, its how they are handled when no longer useful. Punitive costs do little if anything to help the environment.

Great employee knowledge. Reasonable prices on most items vs larger chain competitors. More geared for contractors but if you go in with an idea what your looking for the staff can assist you the rest of the way. Not a five star rating because lack of inventory on website. A fact that is addressed directly on the website as a way to keep costs down to the common customer. While this is somewhat inconvenient it is commendable that the company is up front to their customers about it.

Pretty much whatever you need when building a house or just doing a renovation for the kitchen or bathroom. Huge parking lot with free parking. Can usually find a staff person who can guide you to the correct isle for an item. I would recommend this place.

This is definitely the worst Kent I've been to, and as a contractor I have been to many different locations in the Atlantic provinces. Today I spent 35 minutes waiting for some one to come unlock the wheelbarrows I went in twice and called once and no one came.so after 35 minutes, I went in and returned the wheelbarrows that I had paid for but never got and went to home hardware to purchase some (they were great! Not a big selection, but I had my 2 wheelbarrows in less than 5 minutes) So in short, this Kent sucks and I will not be going back, to waste 35 minutes if my time and my 15 employees that may be waiting for me to return with supplies.

Paid for $500.00 in materials and arranged to have them delivered 2 days later. They specified a delivery time frame(between 12-4) and stated that they would call me prior to delivery. By 15:00 on the expected delivery day I had not received a phone call, nor my product. I had to phone the store for almost 2 hours before I was finally able to speak to a manager, who informed me that my order would not be delivered today. He then proceeded to give 3 different stories as to why the delivery would not/did not happen. When I expressed my frustration and explained that I needed it delivered today he told me that it was not his department and that he only took the phone call. He later called me back and stated that someone would deliver the order at 18:30. He also stated that he would refund the cost for delivery. While I appreciated that the cost would be absorbed, and that the order would be delivered later this evening, it does not excuse the fact that my entire day was wasted, and that I received poor customer service. I would also like to mention that the customer service I received at the project desk was excellent, and they were very helpful. The two employees who answered the phone at the customer service desk were kind and polite. Unfortunately I can not say that the manager I spoke to was polite or understanding. He frequently interrupted me and was not apologetic or sympathetic. I hope that anyone else has a better experience. I will take my experiences here into consideration the next time I am shopping for building supplies.

Overall this is a good place to go, especially if you want a lot of lumber or paving stones. Almost all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The warehouse layout at this location needs a lot of work though. It's very easy to get a bottleneck inside and sometimes the workers struggle to find things. I would not recommend going through the warehouse section at peak times, you'll probably be waiting a long time.

I would like to give a higher rating because every time I go into the store the staff are always really friendly and helpful; especially the front end cashiers, they're always very nice. My biggest problem is that you can NEVER get through to the department you need when you call in to ask a question; it's extremely frustrating since I live a good distance from the store and can't just run in to ask about a price or some information on a product.

Had a business account for 25 years and when Kent took over had a very bad experience with the accounting people over a bill where I did nothing wrong. Most items are overpriced. Very difficult to find a staff member to help you. Check your sales slip, chances are you have been overcharged. If you get a rain check for an item, don't hold your breath waiting for the item. You could die waiting.

I have gone to this store for years, and have always found the staff (esp. Barry, Paul) to be willing to bend over backwards to help. The name transition has not dropped the in-person service level a bit. They give great advice, and have become good friends. I cannot speak to calling in, nor ordering issues. I am sure that a call to corporate to give a calm complaint could be helpful to them and to you.

Everytime I go in this store I'm confronted with non-existant service and a staff that doesn't go the least bit out of their way to actually help. Bought LED recessed lights that were listed in the flyer and do you think that they'd have a sign anywhere near the stack of lights that I guessed were the ones? Of course not. This wouldn't be the Cape Breton way. On this island, you're on your own. Took the lights through the checkout, paid a different price than that advertised (even though the internal number matched the item in the flyer). Just wanted to get out of there.

Gander location. So, we just walked around like chickens with our heads off, couldn't get help to save your life. Even stood in front of a help counter, and were totally ignored, while they turned to help people who came after us. Felt like I was in one of those movies, where you've died, and you don't know it, and nobody can see you. When we loudly asked for such and such a door, buddy pointed to the area where the doors were.(we already knew where the doors were) There was a time they practically chased you down trying to help. Or maybe that's just home depot. So annoyed.

I was there for 20-25 min waiting to try to buy a 500$saw i tought for a while i was the only one in the store and also went to the paint department to ask for someone to come and still waited 15min ! Finaly someone passing by stopped and said the one on display was the only saw left and i said, im not gonna pay the same price for the display saw, if you give me a better deal i will buy it if not i can get the same saw new in the box online for the same price! Kent didn't have what I wanted but they gave me the name of another store ( Home Depot )and I got what I wanted,so pleased that Kent's customer service was excellent. Thanks again for your help and I wasn't feeling well and ended up with everything I needed so I could get home and lye down and when I woke up took my meds ,if I hadn't got everything I would've had given up I never would've been to weak and in alot of pain so I would not be able to go back....so a Big problem was solved, what an awesome sleep I had last night.No More Stress.
