Visited for lunch primarily for the extensive wine list and good food. Booth and table seating in the cellar of an old sandstone building (daylight windows). Usually on-street parking available near corner of 5th and Main streets. Nice regional wine list with good range of prices to fit most occasions. Menu items names after Idaho or Boise notable persons but explained in detail. Great barley soup and salads. Attentive service.$$-$$$.

Traveled to Regina for work and stumbled upon Capitol restaurant downtown. Absolutely fantastic down to earth service. Shout out to Joel for the great service and recommendations. I had the tuna appetizer and a Rebellion cerveza style, all local and he was 100% right. Highly recommend checking them out and I'll definitely be back when I'm in town. Great job!

The Bourbon Bloody Mary I had was delicious as was my burger. However, I watched the cook throw my burger on the grill, run outside for a smoke with the dishwasher and when done smoking he continued to finish preparing our food without washing his hands. At the time this didn't bother me too much but I'm back months later to write a review about it so it has obviously left a bad impression on me. My chocolate mousse was also soupy and not set up the way mousse should be. Still, an overall good experience.

Specifically went there to get raw oysters (their site/online menu list them) and was SO sad to learn they no longer have raw oysters. Please take it off online menu. But! We stayed and enjoyed the mussels and a burger, super tasty and good service! Once the site is updated and online menu accurate I'll update to 5 stars.

Visited the Capitol over the September long weekend. Really pleasant atmosphere, feeling warm and welcoming. We were served right away; however, were soon met with a bit of disappointment as the first two appetizers we were looking to order were not available. Ended up having the chipotle bbq wings and four cheese and garlic flat bread. Quite tasty! We wanted to order dessert afterwards (there was a delicious looking creme brulee on the menu that I was dying to try!); however, our server was nowhere to be found. There weren't too many people in the restaurant either, so it wasn't like he was busy. After waiting nearly 20 minutes he finally showed up and we just requested the bill. Overall, decent experience, but servers could stand to pay a bit more attention to their tables. Will definitely try again next time we're in town.

I came for a visit with some friends and had a great time. Awesome relaxed atmosphere and wonderful music to accompany the great company I had. The service was friendly and attentive. The food however wasn't at all what I expected. As per our servers recommendation I had the rocket burger and side potatoes. The potatoes were overcooked and drowned in what tasted like a hot dog sauce. It was an awful mixture of ketchup, mustard and mayo, salt, pepper and I think garlic salt. Not my kind of side at all. The burger was a frozen Patty, which was way over done and dried out. I had to dip it in my hot dog sauce to get it down. It had soggy toppings of lettuce, onion and obligatory tomatoe, none of which were fresh. Come for the drinks, company and music. Avoid the food.

My girlfriend and I came here for drinks and appetizers for her birthday and while the food and drinks were delicious and cheap, the service left a bit to be desired after the waitress forget to put in our order and we had to wait an extra hour for our food. We were given 20% off everything though so it was by no means the end of the world. I'd still more than reccomend going there for food and drinks since they were very good.

I went to The Capitol for the first time this last weekend. The service was awesome, we had a great waitress and the bar staff always came out and cleared our glasses and took additional drink orders. I gave this place 2 starts because of the food. We had a large group of 6, all of us ordered different food and none of us overly enjoyed it. It wasn't bad, but it was fairly BLAH and lacked flavor. Normally I wouldn't complain or write a bad review, but when you're paying $$$ for "pub food" you expect it to be better than your average pub, but it definitely wasn't. The price tag was heafty for the food and drinks and I wouldn't recommend it to friends.

It's a fun place with a good menu and lots of different specials/events happening. The only negative was that the waitress brought drinks that weren't asked for, kept having drinks spill when she placed them on the table and when asked the ingredients on certain food items she made a joke instead on telling us the ingredients. She also never did get the list of ingredients and it felt irresponsible in this day and age of food allergies. Good place but could be a great place with better wait staff.

The good...trendy spot and atmosphere. The bad...over priced, 9 oz of wine shouldn't be $18. Upkeep on the place isn't where it should be, paint chips and dings on walls. Drinks made with missing ingredients, Moscow mule without ginger beer is just a vodka lime. Live music on a Saturday night shouldn't be over at 9:30.

We visited this place back in April while in Regina and absolutely loved it! The food was awesome (had the poutine (without the pork ) and the Wild mushrooms & Zucchini “Noodle” Bowl entrée. The service was also great. Our waiter lived in Toronto for a bit so we had a bit of a chat about that. Going back to Regina again in Aug and this is already on my list of places to eat! Would it be wrong for me to eat here every day? :)

There's a day for everyone. Los jueves son nuestros favoritos. Do you like to share a bottle of wine at a reasonable price, come Tuesday. Having a lazy (or busy) weekend, stop in for brunch. Want to try a bunch of different cocktails, happy hour. A small, slowly evolving, and well executed menu with a decent bar in an intimate venue. A nice contrast to the typical pub grub mould.

Nice atmosphere and decent food is the only thing going for this place. The night we went July 26/18, the service totally sucked. We had to chase the waitress for refills on our drinks, often finding her socializing with another waitress. No one asked if we wanted dessert and food and alcohol is way too pricey. Then the musical act that night was just awful. Even the bartenders were laughing.

Visited the Capitol during Mexican night. The decor was tattered Mexican banners. Had a decent ambiance of a Mexican restaurant. They offered authentic Mexican food, but it was not the greatest. Other people in our party concurred the food was not the greatest. The drinks and food were priced about par as other places in the area. Not sure if I would visit again or not as the place was just meh.

We came here for a Brunchraiser on Sunday. We had great service, and the breakfast cocktail (Pimm's Lemonade) was excellent! Breakfast was tasty too. Special thank you to our server when we went to pay for our coffee (you pre-pay for a ticket at these events) she told us "Pffft, don't worry about it." It was a nice touch to end an enjoyable brunch.

I came here for brunch and bottomless mimosas and they don’t have champagne. I mean seriously who screwed up so bad that they don’t have champagne for all you can drink mimosas. Very upsetting. The guy said any other Saturday they have champagne and mimosas. Very disappointed with this as I was really looking forward to this.

We had some live music, wine, appetizers, and entrées. It was really good food and a great fancy environment. Great for a nice date, and reasonably priced considering it was a higher end place.
