I cant say enough good things about this store and the staff. There are so many frames to choose from. Violeta helped me pick out frames that suit my face , she was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She truly went the extra mile for me, I even brought my father here for glasses and will be bringing my mother for hers. I would definitely recommend this location.

I used to come to Hakim when years ago, and always returned, but maybe I just had a bad experience this time around... I purchased 2 pairs of glasses at this location (2 for 1), and I am very glad that I did. One pair's frame snapped at the bottom (seemingly for no reason) causing the lens to fall out while I was driving! I took them back in to the store, and when I explained my frustration at this happening while driving (I am blind without my glasses), I was told that "maybe I should get an extra pair of glasses for my car, just in case they break while driving", which I found quite an unreasonable suggestion. Just after this, I experienced a defect to the coating on the lens, on both pairs, and had to return again for a warranty. Lenses are not included in their warranty, but thankfully they recognized the defect and replaced them free of charge (after quite a bit of argument on my side). When they returned to me, they had a huge scratch across one lens, and they tried to pass it off as being there before. Again, after argument, they replaced the lense again. Finally, about a month ago, the replacement pair mentioned above snapped again, in the same spot. From looking at the glasses, it seemed that there may have been strain on the frame from the shape of the lenses. I taped the lens into the glasses with electrical tape to drive home, then promptly dumped them in my closet. Luckily I got a second pair, or I'd be SOL! Long story short - I would be careful choosing the frames (pick the sturdier ones, like my second pair!), and stand up for yourself with the warranty.





Poor customer service. Staff did not want to help or seem knowledgable. Seems like most Hakim Optical locations are like this.





The lady manning the store on July 20th 2019, was clearly not interested in her job. I inquired about their advertised special and very gruffly I was informed “only few”, she was not interested in showing me the glasses or inform about specials. Hakim should consider giving employees some incentive in selling since they clearly do not care. I was so cheesed off with the attitude, left without looking around.





worst customer service ever. staff are unprofessional and were giving negative comments about my current glasses ! a lot of side talking, whispering and giggling ! on the top of all that, glasses were unreasonably over priced !





Store opens at 10. Staff is already outside smoking right in front of the door by 10:04. Went into the store the girl was in the back doing her nails ( could see her in a mirror). She never came out. Left the store empty handed. Not the first time I’ve had bad customer service at this location





Very good experience @ Trafalgar store. Nice staff, Violeta, pleasant and patient. Professional eye doctor, Dr Ng, explains everything clearly. Price is reasonable after promotional deal. Feels right that I made the decision to walk in for my glasses





Purchased two pairs of glasses for my son 2 days before moving. Employees were kind enough to mail the glasses to our nearest Hakim location in Barrie. No fuss, just kind professional service. Also, they called me personally to inform me when my contact lenses brand was on sale. Great service.





I've been going here for over 6 years, love the people, the service and their knowledge! They know which frames would best be suited for you and your prescription. My son has a very strong prescription from Toronto Sick Kids and they are always helpful in finding trendy frames for him that meet his needs. Fantastic place!

Amazing! I was really pleased with the selection and the display at the store. Customer service was impressive. Angelina was helping me with all my questions and concerns. She was really patient. When it came to pricing I was pleasantly surprised to learn the price was much lower than I had expected. I would highly recommended this location to my family and friends.





I would like to share my experience at this location!! First I came for myself, I wear a glasses for 20 years and I have always had a problem to find perfect shape for me. Both ladies worked and they were such a polite and helpful. Angellina found perfect glasses for me after only couple of minutes, she did what I could not do for years! It was amazing. After few weeks I came for glasses for my daughter. Store should close at 8pm and we came 15 minutes before closing. Angellina stay 30 minutes longer and she help us to find glasses for my daughter! The only thing I can say is that kind of customer service is very rare nowadays! Thank you ladies





I guess it depends what you look like, this short hair lady (buzz cut) was extremely rude to me as I entered the store, so I had no choice but to leave the place. Don't recommend it.





I booked for eye exam, when it's done they didn't write down PD number on my refraction card i asked them what is my PD number, Bob cut blonde hair lady told me i need to pay $50 more for that PD number because i will go online and order online with that PD number it is not finished here i said ok take $50 more give me receipt they didn't want to give me $50 receipt and that lady called me a scammer she said "you're scamming your Insurance" but my company insurance always reimburse eye exams online specs order money everything i should have called 911 at that moment but it's a civil matter they won't do anything so i am going for a lawsuit against them. I am a scammer right will show you soon in court.





I went their and the sales lady was not helpful at all and she didn’t like to do any effort . I thought she has problem if she helps !? Don’t go their , I’ll not try to go their any more !





My father is a long term patient in a hospital and needs new glasses. It's not possible for him to do a new eye test in his state and we have tried twice at this location to explain the situation and order him a new set of glasses. Both times they were unwilling to help.





Awesome experience at this store and that's what makes me go back to this outlet for the past 5 years. The store person in charge, Violeta, is very helpful, creative and experienced in the optical business. Value for money!





Want to recognize Violeta who provided exemplary customer service on Aug 6, 2021. I and my mother were at the store to have adjustments made to glasses. Violeta was in the store solo managing all the customers. Several people wanted to try on frames but were not able to because of Covid restrictions. They were a bit frustrated but agreed to wait their turn. Another customer like us needed adjustments made. We had to be patient and wait our turn. Violeta was very professional and remained focused on each customer. Thank you Violeta for the work you do. I would be pleased to attend your store any time and highly recommend you to any one that wears glasses. Please be well and safe
