Blessed food. They give life. Flawless. Probably best food place in town ???? good vibes and wonderful people ????

If you are looking for delicious, comfort and hearty food, this is the place to go. Andrea is a wonderful chef! Her food will make you feel in Jamaica. David is also a great server, always making sure you have everything you need and are having a good time. The atmosphere is really nice here and the music just perfect!

Small but great little place. Friendly service, good portions. The 3 vegetarian options are all vegan. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

Food is great! Unfortunately there was a line up which we were first in and they gave our table away to two seperate groups behind us. Guess i'll stick to their take out..

This is one of my all time favourites. I hold this restaurant equal to Sanchez. The food here is amazing. It’s also consistent. I love it. Jerk Pork Roti, Jamaican Beef Patty and a Mango smoothie. Thank me later

Great place.

Service is a bit slow but that's probably because it's a reasonably small restaurant...food and drinks are delicious. I particularly liked their homemade ginger beer

Limited vegan menu but both the coconut curry and eggplant with rice were awesome after many days of bland food driving around Yukon countryside. Next time, this will be the first stop before heading out.

Super delicious, reasonably priced meals. The homemade ginger beer is amazing.

Great food and ambiance. Jamaican soul food in Whitehorse. Akai fish, home made ginger beer, goat stew and tasty rotis among others

Food is so delicious.

Bison stew was very good, mango smoothie was something to go back for!! Service is nice however eating in was a bit uncomfortable.

Excellent food and customer service

Meal type

Small resturaunt. Prices were 20-30$ for a meal. We ordered the fried plantains, jerk pork, jerk chicken, and bison stew, all of which were excellent. So long as you don't mind the "hole in the wall" feel, I would recommend.

Hidden gem of a restaurant. Delicious Jamaican dishes. Try the roti and the meat pastries!

My goodness, I am a little confused. People say this food is good, but I was so disappointed when I ordered the jerk chicken and rice and peas. The chicken was so salty and tasted as though it was seasoned and frozen, defrosted and cooked. The food had zero flavours. I am sorry, but it's no. This one will need to reassess and come back to the table. The food is highly overpriced for what it is, unfortunately. Plus side they use biodegradable paper boxes instead of styrofoam gotta respect an environmentally conscious business. Please take the same energy to customers health and easy with the sale and grease.

Dine in

Goat curry was delicious. Jerk chicken was really nice as well. Very quiet when we visited. Friendly staff.

Service was terrible. Food was good; but not what we ordered. 30 mins after we had ordered the waitress came down with water and asked again what we had ordered and still we didn't get the right dishes. Plus $56 for two plates of food which weren't that big seemed pricey. Ended up missing the play we had planned to go see since it was almost an hour from when we got there until food arrived

Very good. What a treat to have real and delicious food while road tripping.

Jamaican patties

A true hole in the wall gem of Whitehorse. I don’t know why I’d missed this place out for a year and a half. The food was so delicious. I had the Spicy Fish which was cooked to perfection (those melt in your mouth kind) with right amount of spices. We also ordered the fried plantains which were exactly how I’d wished for and the star of the day was the dessert - the chocolate rum ball. Oh, how decadent it was! This is a must visit restaurant in town and I would highly recommend. My friend ordered a Calypso and it looked good as well. I would definitely go back again to try other dishes (Jerk Chicken), here I come ????

Make sure to come here for some excellent Jamaican soul food. Don't forget to say hi to the chef.

I really enjoy this place, it will be sad when I leave at the end of the summer

Staff is awesome and so many vegan options. Everyone was praising ever dish they were eating. Get the ginger beer!

One of my favorites restaurants in Whitehorse. Food takes a while to arrive even with no patrons.

Amazing food! Tastes like a home cooked meal every single time. I have never had a bad experience here. Warm, clean and cozy dining area makes you feel like you are somewhere tropical. Definitely try the jerk chicken!

Food was good, but not much service.

The food was awesome and we really enjoy it

Phenomenal food, one of our favourite places in Whitehorse! The curry chickpea roti is especially good.

Basic menu selection presented on chalkboard. Spicy or jerk goat, chicken, and pork options, roti's and meat pies, as well as some home made drinks. Food was excellent and very filling. Atmosphere, although authentic Jamaican, was a bit too warm inside.

Must go in Whitehorse! Great vibes and great food!!!! EVERYTHING IS AMAZING.. HAD 3 DIFFERENT DISHES SO FAR AND LOVE THEM ALL !

Lovely environment and great tasting food!

They say chicken soup is good for the soul, in Whitehorse it's Pickapeppa! This place is a Whitehorse Gem, that's worthy of your attention and business. Owners Andrea and David work hard to earn your business! Coming here feels more like hanging out at a friend's house and getting served a delicious home cooked Caribbean meal! When you support this restaurant you most definitely feel you are supporting local. You will be treated to warm smiles, a nice diverse menu with veggie options, great table service, as well as a nice assortment of drinks and desserts to choose from. Our group had the homemade mango smoothie (which was absolutely amazing and made me feel like I was at the beach), we also had the jerk chicken, fried plantains, Jamaican patty, curry chickpea, and Jamaican rum balls for dessert. Everything was so flavourful, and the portions were generous. Through out the restaurant there are hints of Jamaica (nice art work, bright colours) which help rid away the winter blues. If you can manage some stairs to get into the restaurant, and want to support a solid local business this is a great place to be. I suggest making reservations ahead of time.

Amazing food! Favourite Jamaican Patties anywhere

Jamaica Yukon! Fried Plantains, Ox-tail, Curries! Good tunes, great service!

Good little Jamaican restaurant. It is small and quiet. Good choice of food. Worth walking out of downtown core a little(I'm a tourist).

Delicious food! Staff was also very nice!

Meal type

Who knew that is find one of the best Caribbean restaurants I've ever experience in The Yukon? I don't know how it got there (the owner said, "it's a long story"), but I'm happy it did. The food is incredible and it was an awesome place to stop for lunch.

Best restaurant in town!!

I really enjoy this place, it will be sad when I leave at the end of the summer

Wonderful Jamaican meal and the mango smoothie was refreshing. Would definitely eat there again.

Amazing curried chicken best I have had ever. Highly recommended

Delicious goat curry and jerk chicken. Rum ball very good too.

Authentic Jamaican jerk and currys. The friendliest staff. Amazing food. Cozy dining room.

Good authentic Jamaican food. The venue is little and the furniture isnt luxurious, but the beer is cold. I've eaten here twice and the quality is excellent, but I would have preferred that the plate was warmer when I got it. As with many of the great places to eat in Whitehorse, a great experience.

Jerk chicken salad was amazing!

the Jameican restaurant was really good

Incredibly delicious food!

Awesome soul food

Dinner

It not bad. Kinda pricey

good!

Don't miss out on this gem

This was the first Carribbean food we've tried in Canada. It was all cooked nicely, but wasn't as flavourful as we're used to. Just tasted of all spice to me. Lacked the kick of chilli.

Excellent Caribbean food and great service. Standout dishes include curry goat, plantains, and homemade ginger beer.

Just tried the Jerk Chicken Roti and the Curried Chicken Roti, it was very good. “Roti” was soft and full of flavour. The curried chicken reminded me of a nice home cooked meal. The homemade Sorel drink had just the right kick with a hint of lime and the homemade pineapple ginger beer had just the right bite. The hours for this restaurant are a bit odd, The interior is warm and welcoming. I tried coming to this restaurant multiple times because I heard such amazing reviews. I’m glad I drove by today and saw the open sign lit up, It was absolutely worth the wait. Went again today and enjoyed the Roti with curried goat, a delicious mango smoothie and a beef patty. Absolutely happy.

Service

Friendly service, rustic setting, great food, and above all the homemade Ginger Beer was the best...nothing like the bottled stuff... the owner/cook is an awesome person.

Absolutely delicious One of the best meals you can get in Whitehorse (I’ve lived here a few years)

Jerk chicken and rice and roti is the best Beef patty was the best I’ve had in Canada

My number 1 favorite place in Whitehorse. I've been eating here for years. Always exceptional food and service.

Cute small restaurant love their chicken roti

This great little restaurant is always at the top of our list when visiting Whitehorse. Very friendly, family run restaurant with great food.

Always fully satisfied here, I love it! Food is soo fresh and tender and tasty!

WOW...I like this place alot. Great food, pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. I would definitely come back here again and again and again.

Best patty every!

We had the Beans and Squash Soup, Jamaican Patty (beef), Jerk Chicken Salad and Curry Chicken. All delicious. And the plantains were excellent. Who knew you could have good Caribbean food in the Yukon? Really kind people too - a little gem in Whitehorse.

Absolutely amazing. You gotta eat here

Delicious jerk and ginger beer

Amazing, had the curry chicken with rice was absolutely scrumptious GIVEN that this is about the furthest place in Canada from Jamaica to get West Indian food. Wow how Whitehorse has changed, 18 years ago all there was was a Timmie's. Happy to see ethnicity has breached the Yukon. Worth a visit for sure, I'll likely never be back but that's just because I'm from Vancouver.

Food was pretty good. Would recommend if spending the night in this area. Decent price.

Lovely jamaican food????????????????????
