Here we offer you all the reviews of real people who use the services of Kawartha Marine Boat Wrecking & Recyclers (Scrap Yards) in the area of Kawartha Lakes (Canada).
At this moment this firm receives a score of 2.5 over 5 and this rating is based on 36 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is low, and it is founded on a large number of reviews, so we can think that the evaluation is very faithful. If people have bothered to give their review when they are satisfied, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set reviews when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Scrap Yards belongs to the category of Boat storage facility.
very expensive. Can buy new for same price.
Absolute scam artist. Don't waste your time.
Totally rude on the phone and the seats were the same price as a brand new one
DO NOT GO HERE! Customer service leaves A LOT to be desired. The owner was rude and acted very much like he could care less if he sold us a part. These guys are scam artists. The price on the part we were looking for went up $100.00 (from $200.00) from the time we spoke to them on the phone. THEN he told us that if we needed one of his guys to help remove the part from then it would be another $100.00. Also told us that once we got the part off he wanted to look at it. (Probably so he could raise the price again) He kept mentioning how he could sell the part we were looking for on line for much more than what he was charging us. Oh Yeah ? Doubtful. Also this place is SO disorganized (yes we understand it's a wreck yard, but this place was beyond belief.!) In the end we ended up leaving and buying the part somewhere else for much less. If I could give zero stars I would. AVOID!
Bought a new propeller off him for my outboard. Will be going back for more parts in the future.
Helpful and found rub rails at a fraction of the cost of new ones! Thanks guys!
I don't know who would say they had a great experience here. Guess what I got. HOLD ON I'M BUSY DOING NOTHING and then another guy come out of nowhere and he said what are you doing back? Lay off the crack guys first time and last time coming here. So first I sent them a email, I guess they cant read. Then drive out to see them to get all that bull crap And then seats with stains on them, in the rain day in day out and they still want $250.00 for them buddy said yup know they are 750 from the U.S. my God bud your a recycling place. If one place knows how to waste people's money and time it's them.
Do not deal with these people. Got ripped off on a trailer for a boat and to date they have not done anything to rectify the matter. The owner Nancy has been disrespectfully and downright nasty after selling us a trailer that was not roadworthy. If you want to be sold a substandard product go there. You will get what you want but pay for it dearly. What the owner replied to this post was twisted. Since we could not rerurn the trailer safely because it was not roadworthy she was to have her husband come and pick it up. I informed her that we could not take it on the road by law..Also, she was supremely rude using the F off word to me on several occasions. Talked to Better Business Bureau who stated they had a very bad reputation.
Rude on the phone they are not a boat wrecking yard and only want boats they can make money on.
Did a 5h drive in hope to find good stuff for cheaper. Well atleast that's what a junkyard is suppose to be. Don't go there, better off buying it new online. Atleast it's new. His seats were dirty and stuff and still asking 100$ a piece. Can buy it brand new for that price. Anyway, pretty upset.
Horrible service the two people running it just sat in the building and smoked and drank. They told us which boats to get parts off and then questioned us about which boat we removed any parts from. They had little to no knowledge of anything marine related. Horrible prices. A negative experience all around. The two running it are lazy money hungry morons.
In ten years of business there appears to be four negative reviews written against us. Two of which are completely unjustified. Please note that Dylon came to use desperately needing boat parts and had no money. He offered to provide signage in exchange for the parts. We agreed and gave him the parts he requested. He then reneged on the signage as his father did not agree with the deal. We asked for the return of the parts and he did not return them, instead he sent a partial payment and has never paid for them completely. I wrote a review on their Google profile (Burry Signs) which you can read for yourself a couple of months ago. His review is a retaliation review and not justified in the slightest. Its sad that there is nothing you can do about this sort of thing happening. Diane Nestor purchased a trailer from us as is as seen. She claims it was in bad shape when they picked it up. I asked why they took it in the first place and she claimed they needed it. Her intention was to return it after using it for a full refund. We refused to refund the money as this is something that people have been known to do in the past instead of renting a trailer. We went well above and beyond and offered a replacement trailer worth much more than the one she purchased that is still sitting waiting for her to pick up however she is demanding that we deliver it 3.5 hours to her. That is not going to happen thus the horrible review. We did offer to help her out and were going to deliver the trailer after our move to Fenelon Falls however now that she has written this review she can find her own way up here to pick up the trailer. Again we have already gone well above and beyond and this is the thanks you get.
Excellent service with helping my find the stator I needed for my older Mercury outboard . Much appreciated
Warning- Warning I bought a boat trailer from Brett at the time he said the owner ship would be mailed as he did not have with him. I have made several phone calls and e-mails 3 months later I still do not have a owner ship . Brett is not honest and should not be trusted I wonder if the trailers are ? your guess is as good as mine I am now starting action against him with consumer protection. Good luck if you buy from him. No stars. It has been 8 months going onto 9 months still no ownership, The BBB cant even get satisfaction .So if you buy a trailer from these dishonest people you probably will not get a ownership.
they advertise as a recycling wrecking etc, called and offered 9 boats free to them, she said if the don't have motors and trailers they weren't interested.
Do not waste your time or money on these people....... believe me ...... enough said.
The two owners are scam artists DO NOT use them unless you want to be ripped off. There stock is all damaged and ruined, there prices are sky high you would be better off buying new. If you want to make a deal with the devil go there!!!!! They have also had there company at a dump and a scrap yard and got kicked out of both locations are these really the type of people you want to deal with?
Brett and Nancy at Kawartha Marine are two people that will go out of there way and help anyone in need. Their main priority is to see everyone get out on the water and enjoy boating. They have those hard to find parts as well as trailers and good boats to choose from. I will never regret the experience I had with this great company and its owners!!
Guy started lying to me within 10 minutes of being there. His prices are the same as new. Shocking. Dishonest, little knowledge, ridiculous
Helpful and will go out of their way to get you out on your boat. Quality parts at a fraction of the price.

Don't know why people give this guy bad reviews he is very helpful bought a few things his prices are reasonable will be going back
Very helpful staff and bend over backwards to make it right
Excellent service and price
Stay away this man is unbelievably rude he told me to F off because he asked me if I knew how much a part was and I said I’ve seen it posted on eBay for $200 then told me F off and the part was $500. Bought the part of another salvage yard for $100 this man has issues and is completely rude to talk to a woman like that.
Very rude on the phone, prices are sky high.
Not a good experience would not recommend anyone to go there parts are very expensive and those 2 guys are still sitting inside smoking cigs they weren't canned there part owners they were literally arguing with each other when I was there not professional at all
We were recommended by our friends to come here and so glad we did. Thank you for the amazing service you provided my husband and I. It was so nice to meet you and your prices are amazing. Two of the nicest people I have ever met! You have a ton of boat parts and we will definitely be back for me. Highly recommend.
Great place, people good prices and they have everything!!!!
I called this place numerous times, maybe once a week, seemed going to be very helpful Asking me to send pics of the part but no response back, Eventually i took a run out to the place, met the owner, started asking me what i wanted & did i no the price new, what that had to do with his used parts was to give him an idea had i sorce the price so ended up my heat trany he was charging 20% less than new, i def wouldnt recommend this guy but thats my opinion, worst iv ever came across in my liftime
